I can still picture the bridge somewhere in London, Eng. I had been walking around the city, full of nostalgia, as I would soon be leaving for Ireland. After 6 months of traveling Europe, it was time to go back to the states. As I crossed over this small bridge, I looked to my right, the glistening water a comforting sight. Immediately following was a very powerful thought.
“It’s time to interview dancers.”
For many years prior I had been shooting photo and video for dancers and studios. In all of those years I didn’t think to apply my main set of skills, storytelling, to the content. It was time to make dancers speak. To make them reveal themselves through their human voice, rather than body.
